Speech-Language Pathologist

Your Role
Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) evaluates, develops, and oversees individualized speech and language treatment plans.
Articulation/Phonology: Improving clarity and correcting sound errors (e.g., substituting, adding, or deleting sounds).
Language Development (Receptive/Expressive): Enhancing understanding (listening) and use of words, grammar, and sentence structure.
Fluency: Addressing stuttering or disruptions in the flow of speech.
Voice and Resonance: Managing pitch, volume, and quality.
Cognitive-Communication: Improving memory, attention, and problem-solving.
Goal Setting: Personalized, measurable objectives tailored to the patient's specific needs.
Feedback & Practice: Constructive, immediate feedback to help the patient adjust their speech.
Generalization: Practicing skills in various environments to ensure they are used outside the therapy room.
Contextual Tools: Utilizing play-based activities for children, or tools like communication boards, sign language, and computer-assisted devices.
Articulation Exercises: Practicing sound production through exercises.
Language Tasks: Activities to expand vocabulary and improve sentence structure.
Social Skills Training: Helping children with autism or other needs improve communication in social situations.
Breathing Exercises: To support voice production.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct speech, language, and communication evaluations and reassessments
Develop, monitor, and update individualized treatment plans
Provide direct therapy targeting speech, language, and social communication goals
Collaborate with and train parents/caregivers to support treatment goals
Partner with BCBAs and clinical staff to ensure cohesive, interdisciplinary care
Ensure accurate documentation and timely reporting in the electronic health record system
Participate in team meetings, mentorship opportunities, and professional development
Qualifications:
Required: Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences & Disorders; active state SLP licensure and ASHA CCC-SLP (or Clinical Fellowship eligibility); strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Preferred: Experience working with children with ASD; familiarity with ABA-based or interdisciplinary treatment environments; experience providing parent coaching and caregiver education. Multilingual skills will be given preference.
